How to play

  1. Choose your opponent, board size, and sea mines in Settings under New game. The home screen shows a one-line summary of your choices; tap it to change them.
  2. Deploy your fleet: drag a ship onto the grid to move it, and tap it or twist two fingers on it to turn it. Auto-place lays out a random fleet for you. Drag anywhere else to move the view. Tap Ready when you are done.
  3. Take turns firing. Tap a square on the enemy’s grid to aim, then press the round launch button. A splash is a miss; an explosion is a hit. A ship sinks when every square it covers has been hit.
  4. Sink the whole enemy fleet before yours goes down to win.

In battle, switch between the flat view of both boards (pinch to zoom, drag to slide) and the ocean view, which you can turn all the way around. If you moved the view, the Reset view button brings it back. With sea mines on, tap Lay mines during deployment and choose three empty squares, or use Auto-place. Firing on an enemy mine damages your own ship at the same coordinate, if one is there.

The computer Admiral

The Admiral plays at Easy, Normal, or Hard and never sees your ships. After a game against it, open the Fair-play replay to see each of its shots over the heat map it chose from, based only on its own earlier shots and their results.

Remove Ads and Restore purchases

Fleetfall shows a full-screen ad between games, never during play. Remove Ads is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that turns ads off permanently.

  1. Make sure the device is signed in to the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
  2. Open Fleetfall and tap Settings.
  3. Under Ads, tap Remove ads to buy it, or Restore purchases if you already bought it.

You should not need to buy Remove Ads again when using the same eligible Apple Account. Apple handles billing; Task One never receives your payment-card details.

The store is unavailable

Check your internet connection and try again later. Purchases and restorations require Apple’s App Store services.

Privacy choices and ad tracking

After your first game, Fleetfall asks once for Apple’s tracking permission. If you decline, you still see ads between games, but they are not personalized. You can change this at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security > Tracking.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and where US state laws require it, Google’s consent form asks for your choices before ads load. To review or change them, open Settings in Fleetfall and, under Ads, tap Privacy choices. This button appears only where these choices apply.

Nearby play doesn’t connect

  • Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest networks and some office or hotel networks block devices from seeing each other.
  • Each device must allow Fleetfall to find devices on the local network. If you declined, open the iOS Settings app, tap Privacy & Security > Local Network, and turn on Fleetfall.
  • One player taps Host game and the other taps Join game. The host must tap Allow on the join request before the game starts.
  • If someone leaves the app or loses the connection, the game pauses and saves. Open Fleetfall again on the same network to reconnect and pick up where you left off.

No sound or vibration

Open Settings in Fleetfall and check the sound effects, ambience, and haptics options. Then check the device volume and, on iPhone, the Ring/Silent setting.

Privacy

Fleetfall has no accounts, and your records and settings stay on your device; you can clear your records with Reset records in Settings. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Read the full Fleetfall Privacy Policy.
