Holler Support
Help with speaker discovery, Live and Message audio, Sounds, grouping, volume, and Holler Pro.
Contact support
Send a Holler support request with a description of the issue, your iPhone or iPad model, iOS or iPadOS version, Sonos speaker models, and whether the affected system uses S1 or S2. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, recorded audio, or public network addresses.
No rooms appear
- Make sure the iPhone or iPad and the speakers are on the same Wi-Fi or a routed local network that permits device-to-device traffic.
- Open iOS Settings, find Holler, and make sure Local Network is enabled.
- Return to Holler and tap the circular Refresh rooms button.
- Temporarily disable a VPN, guest-network isolation, or private-relay-style network filter and try again.
- Confirm the speakers appear in the appropriate Sonos S1 or S2 controller app.
Holler controls reachable local speakers. Remembered rooms from another Wi-Fi may be checked again, but Holler cannot reach a home speaker through the public internet.
S1 and S2 rooms
Holler labels discovered rooms with S1 or S2 badges. Rooms from separate Sonos systems cannot be grouped together. Choose rooms with matching badges, or send the announcement to each system separately.
Use Live microphone audio
- Select one compatible room or group.
- Choose Live and tap Start.
- Keep Holler open while speaking.
- Tap Stop when finished.
If prompted, allow microphone access. If permission was denied, enable Microphone for Holler in iOS Settings. Live is foreground-only: leaving Holler, locking the screen, receiving an audio interruption, or changing the audio route stops the broadcast and begins Sonos restoration.
Record and send a Message
Select Message, tap the large Talk control, speak, and tap again to finish and send. Holler stores the recording only in temporary on-device storage while preparing the local broadcast.
Play or stop a built-in Sound
Select Sounds and tap a sound to begin playback. While it is playing, that same amber button becomes its Stop control; tap it to stop playback and restore the previous speaker state.
Volume and music restoration
The announcement-volume slider adjusts the selected rooms while Holler audio is playing. Holler then attempts to restore each room’s earlier volume, grouping, track position, and playback state. Restoration can take a moment and depends on the state the speakers expose. If it does not complete, tap Stop, wait briefly, and refresh the rooms before trying again.
Unlock or restore Holler Pro
- On the Rooms screen, tap Holler Pro in the toolbar or Unlock or Restore in the trial footer.
- To restore an existing purchase, tap Restore purchase on the purchase sheet.
- Make sure the device is signed in to the Apple Account used for the original purchase.
Holler Pro is a non-consumable, one-time purchase. Store availability, purchases, and restoration require Apple’s App Store services even though Holler does not use a Task One account or cloud audio relay.
Alarm and siren notice
The included alarm and air-raid siren are entertainment and attention sounds. Holler is not an emergency warning, security, evacuation, or life-safety system.
Privacy
Holler has no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or Task One audio relay. Read the full Holler Privacy Policy.
