Mixtape privacy policy
Effective November 1, 2026.
Your music stays under your control
Task One LLC does not collect your music, listening history, playlists, or diagnostics through Mixtape. The app has no advertising, analytics SDK, tracking, account system, or developer-operated audio relay.
Information stored on your device
Mixtape stores library metadata, playlists, settings, file access bookmarks, and any songs you choose to copy into the app. The trial start date is stored in Keychain, with a local fallback. Local diagnostics may contain song titles, file information, and speaker addresses. Diagnostics are not uploaded automatically.
Deleting the app removes its app data; trial information in Keychain may remain. Original files kept outside Mixtape are not deleted by the app. Device backups and file-provider storage are governed by your Apple or provider settings.
Sonos and local-network playback
When you choose Sonos, Mixtape discovers reachable speakers, sends playback controls and selected audio over your local network, and may create temporary processed audio files on the device. Audio is sent to the speakers you select, not to Task One servers. Apple handles system audio routes such as AirPlay and Bluetooth.
Files and cloud providers
The system Files picker grants access to the files or folders you select. iCloud Drive and other providers may download those files using their own services and privacy policies. Mixtape does not receive your cloud-provider passwords.
Purchases and trial
Apple processes in-app purchases and provides verified purchase information to Mixtape so it can enable or restore the permanent unlock. The seven-day trial starts locally on first launch and does not use a StoreKit trial transaction. Task One does not receive your payment-card details. The trial does not authorize an automatic later charge.
Support and website visits
If you email us or submit our website contact form, we receive the information you choose to provide and use it to respond and maintain support records. Opening support or privacy links visits the Task One website, whose hosting and contact services process those visits separately from the app. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to legitimate retention requirements.
Children
Mixtape does not collect children's personal information through the app. Apple controls purchase authorization, including Ask to Buy when enabled.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if the app's privacy practices change. Questions may be sent to info@taskonellc.com.
